Futher research for my media project

My research about independent filmmaking. ‘Indie is a sacred and fertile ground for creativity, free from the pressures of big budgets and studio meddling’ (Valentini,2020). From analysing this information I have seen that independent filmmaking exists as long as filmmaking has been around and it is essentially any movie without one of the big studios in the background. I have learned from it that independent filmmakers have more freedom to show the audience certain ideas and issues and challenging storytelling and the lack of a large budget pushes them to sophisticated methods of promoting their films. An example of independent film is Bait (2019) a  Cornish excursion that takes you into a 1950s style of dark and dreary storytelling  like Rosselini's Stromboli with Ingrid Bergmann. This excellent film showed me that here was achieved all its objectives of sadness, youthful descent, a withering industry, a capitalist invasion which are inherent in independent filmmaking. There is not a humorous subject so you won't find any - like Stromboli. In my project I will discuss in detail the features of independent filmmaking such as realism without all this artificiality. When  the filmmaker tries to display the area of life as closely as possible, so that the audience accepts the film as a reflection of reality.
